Quadrat Chess Tournament & Masterclass

This is your chance to have fun, challenge yourself, and meet other chess fans! Whether you are a novice or a master, you are welcome to join us and enjoy the game of kings. 

The event will begin with a Masterclass at 4pm, hosted by Maksim Manakov.

The tournament will begin afterwards, following the Swiss system format, which means that you will play the same number of rounds as everyone else, no matter how many games you win or lose. The winner will be the player with the most points at the end of all rounds. You will get 1 point for a win, 0 points for a loss, and ½ point for a draw.

The tournament will have 5 rounds, with a time control of 30 minutes per player for each game. Each player will follow the basic rules of tournament chess, such as touching the piece you want to move, turning off your cell phone, and using the chess clock correctly. If you have any questions or problems during the tournament, you can ask the tournament director for help or advice.

The registration fee is $10 per player, and you can register online or on-site before the first round. The prize fund will depend on the number of entries, and will be shared among the top players and special categories.
