During this interesting time where we’re currently confined to our homes, it’s important to have creative outlets we can engage in to help us pass the time more gracefully.
Still-life photography is the practice of creating photographs of inanimate objects. During our workshop, we’ll use this medium to create photo-essays about any topic you choose. Prompts will be given during our session to jumpstart your topic ideas.
For example, some may choose to use objects that explain how they’re occupying their time, while others may choose to photograph their favorite shoes.
The choice is yours.
There are three key components we’ll focus on to maximize our learning and creative experience:
1- Background TEXTURE
2- The OBJECT and the meaning it holds
3- Choosing the most flattering LIGHT to best capture our scene
Tools:
Camera Phone or DSLR camera
Photo editing app or software: Preferably the Snapseeed mobile editing app, or Adobe Photoshop Software for your computer
This workshop is perfect for beginners and for more experienced photographers.
